International Studies - 2023
We know this has been "on again, off again," but for now Singapore is back on
for 2023. This exciting and richly educational learning experience is set
for March 9-19, 2023, which coincides with Spring Break. We've prepared a
video for you,
The Singapore Experience,
that explains many of the details to help you decide on attending this program.
Some of the businesses to be visited include Coke Asia, Siemens, Coperion, ESSEC
Business School, and the Singapore Economic Development Board. The trip
will also include a daytrip to Malaysia. We think this will be a great addition
to the International Business Studies program and add an Asian element to the
existing London and Italy programs. For more information
contact Warren King or the Center for Global Engagement at The University of
North Georgia.
International Studies - 2022
Finally, we're able to proudly announce that the International Business Studies program is ready to resume. London is back on the schedule where we'll be immersed in the European business community, and the inaugural trip to Singapore will focus on the Asian business market. Both of these trips can accommodate up to 16 students and will take place over Spring Break 2022. These are exceptional learning opportunities and, in today's workplace, a near prerequisite to someone who wants to work in international business. For more information, contact Warren King or watch one or both of these videos that were created to introduce you to the
London and
Singapore experience.
London and Singapore International Business Studies
The University of North Georgia is gearing up for the 2020 International
Business Studies program and, in addition to London, will be adding Singapore to
the mix. Like London for the European business community, Singapore is a
central hub in Asia for many large scale businesses. Warren King's prior
experience working and living in Singapore makes him a valuable resource in
coordinating this unique opportunity for UNG students, and he will lead the group
if sufficient students sign up. For more information on both London and
Singapore Warren has created two video presentations that show an overview of
these rich and learning filled programs.
Wisdom Project 2030 - Gainesville
VISION 2030 is a community project of the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce and
was initiated in 2005 with over 1,000 Gainesville-Hall County citizens
describing the community they'd like to live, work, and raise families in with a
"common vision." Nxt Level Advisors was engaged by the leaders of this
innovative project to conduct a Strategic Review to provide an independent
evaluation of operations and make recommendations for enhancing the project's
viability. At the conclusion of this evaluation a detailed report was
furnished to the organization with the following quote from the executive
director. "Many thanks to you both for your great work in leading us through this process. While the one-day format may have prevented us from exploring more deeply,
we do
feel a great deal was achieved for the organization and we are appreciative of that! We know what we have to do now."
March 2019 - London International Business Studies
During the week of March 10, 2019 Warren led a group of senior students from the
University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, Georgia on a Study Abroad Trip to
London. This trip was a combination of business visit and cultural touring
in Europe's most influential centers of business and commerce. Some of the
businesses visited included Lloyds of London, Jaguar, Coke London, and CDW,
among others. The students consider this one of the highlights of their
international business studies. A similar trip to Singapore is planned for
March 2020.
October 2018 - Warren Presents to National Industry Group
Warren presented a talk to the National Association of Independent Laboratory
Products Distributors titled "Planning to Win." The presentation focused
on the process of conducting and internal strategic analysis, plan formulation
and implementation, as well as methods and milestones for periodic reviews to
ensure the plans are succeeding. A key element in this process is seeking
involvement and "buy in" by leaders, managers, and employees at all levels.
Ongoing - Vistage International Involvement
Warren continues his involvement in Vistage International, a unique organization
of CEOs, Presidents and Business Owners who collaborate on solving issues and
developing strategic plans. Warren's interaction with Vistage affords him
an intimate perspective in the issues and challenges facing today's business
leaders in a variety of industry groups. Learn more about Vistage
